We believe all children should have the opportunity to attend Camp Blue Spruce programs regardless of economic limitations. We offer financial assistance to families who would otherwise not be able to afford to register their children for our fee-based programs.
Camp Blue Spruce believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient contributes to the cost of their involvement. Therefore, all applicants will be required to pay at least the $150 camp deposit for Overnight Camp and $50 for Blue Spruce on the Loose and what you are able for Cooking with Camp Blue Spruce.
Financial assistance is based on financial need, family circumstances, demand, and available funds. We consider the Federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Income Guidelines as we determine allocations.
Funds are the result of the generosity of Camp Blue Spruce donors and and the Dr. Dan DeMerell Memorial Fund. (Click here to learn more about Dr. DeMerell.). Awards are made without regard to race, religion, gender identity, age or any other legally protected status.
All decisions are made in the strictest confidence by an impartial review committee.
To apply for financial assistance families must register for the program they want to attend and complete the financial assistance application when registering.
